I am an independent contractor. I have completed my end of the contract and have received no payment from Beloved. I have worked for this agency previously and had only a few issues. I feel it is my duty to warn any potential clients and contractors about Beloved's work ethics and values. They are very unorganized and dishonest. I have been notified by the client that the agency has received payment.

After a month of calling, emailing, and sending out accounting inquiries, I still get the same response. "We have not received payment from the client." A few other contractors have received payment. They are outright lying to me. Our contract states they must pay me within 7 days of receiving payment. I have contacting lawyers and the attorney general. I have been advised that it would not be worth filing a suit against them. And filing a small claim is $150. I have no money to pay my bills or to eat. They are taking advantage of me and my only option is to speak the truth. I have heard many bad things about this agency in the field. Unfortunately, as a broke independent contractor, I am powerless.

False Accusations and Assumptions Made in Haste

#5REBUTTAL Owner of company

Beloved Experiential has been in business since 2004 and is both a reputable business and leader in its industry. No matter how slanderous, erroneous or inaccurate the information posted about our company on this site is, Ripoff Report will not remove submissions from either party. With that stated, we have no other recourse but to respond in this forum.

While we are sensitive to how the current economic climate has affected the urgency for contractors to get paid on work performed and completed, our clients are also affected by the economic conditions and, as a result, are frequently delinquent with us or demanding an increase in net payment terms. Fortune 500 companies are demanding net 60-120 day payment terms without negotiation, despite our contractors' needs to collect payment much sooner. Unfortunately, we are not in a position to bankroll these large corporations and advance funds to contractors while we proceed with collection efforts.

Lastly, section 4 of the independent contractors agreement which all Beloved Experiential contractors sign, clearly states "Agency shall pay Contractor within seven (7) days of Agencys receipt of such compensation from Agencys client, according to the rates and terms set forth in this Agreement and any applicable Addendum(s)." We have always complied with these terms and it is not of interest to us to hold payment from any of our contractors.

I have just filed a fraud claim with Beloved with the BBB and will take the advice of filing a small claim if necessary. I cannot believe they treat their brand ambassadors this way. They are dirty, and def. the worst promo agency I have worked with!!!

I have received most of my payment at this point. I have tried to remove my report, but apparently you cannot remove a report completely.

Bakera,

First, I don't know what service you provided for this company. But if it is some kind of skill that you plan on applying as a career independent contractor, here is a bit of advice: if your client is billing for services after they are performed, don't sign on to a contract that makes your payment contingent on your client's receipt of payment.

In other words, steer clear of "I'll pay you when I get paid" situations unless you are willing to risk stuff like this. If this is standard in your industry, I guess you'll just have to accept it as a part of doing business.

Also, if you are indigent, there is likely a form you can fill out to have the small claims filing fee waived. Ask the court clerk, or do some research online (Michigan has most of their commonly used court forms, such as the application for a filing fee waiver, online).

Best of luck!
