Complaint Review: Ben Crozier

I, like many others, was looking for a business loan to acquire a small business. I was not looking for a hand out or "free money". With the economy the way is is and banks loaning less, I searched for another way to obtain these funds. What I came up with was a loan that was secured by CDs. To be paid back in full - a LOAN, not a hand out. I researched the practice and found out it was a legitmate method and subsequently found CFG through a "broker". I researched CFG as much as I could and no red flags appeared, even spoke to one of their "satisfied customers" who stated that he would work with them again. It was required of us to make a deposit of $5k or more (I've found out that some paid as much as $10k.) with the contractual, written agreement that if we hadn't received a loan through CFG in 12 months time, we would get that money back. It's been a year for me, up to 3 years for some others and Mr. Crozier has either talked around the request for a refund or simply blown us off. This is not acceptable.

Please be warned other entrepreneurs and small business owners, do not do business with Ben Crozier, Jose Palma or ANYONE affiliated with Capital Finance Group or Santander Banking (which is not affiliated with Banco Santander as they led us to believe at one point and we only recently found out that they had been federally investigated about that.)
