Complaint Review: Benchmark Literacy Group Aka BLG Aka Eagle Literacy Group Aka ELG

BLG & ELG are sister companies dealing the credit repair business. Right now they are engaged in "going public" and they are raising money through private investors. INVESTOR BEWARE you are getting ripped off.

BLG/ELG recently bounced thousands of dollars in payroll checks causing numerous employees to incur massive bounced check fees as well as not getting paid. BLG/ELG executive team then takes the cowardly action of blaming the managers associated with project of stealing the funds. Well those managers documented the situaiton and have proven themselves innocent.

To make matters worse BLG/ELG is not servicing its customers. After collecting money, using people's social security numbers to pull their credit to "repair" it, yet they have not followed through on their promises. Every client should contact their credit card company or bank and file for a chargeback to get their money back.

The executive team consists of Ray Smith, Bob Hanson and Rob Woods. Ray Smith is the president who is supposed to handle all the "corporate" filings and such. He never answers his phone yet the best I can tell he was the one that created this whole problem. Bob Hanson was a partner in a huge credit repair scam that was prosecuted by the FTC and was broadcast on Dateline NBC. Bob testified against his partners in exchange for immunity. Rob Woods is a former NFL football player that is supposed to be the guy in charge of all the money. You get one guess where he likes to spend his time- C A S I N O.

Everyone beware. I hope the guys who got burned by BLG/ELG get their money back. What a bunch of cowards, I call and call and they never have the balls to deal with this head on.

And oh by the way they claim to have sued the IRS and won. They claim to be a non-profit but there is no evidence of such. And finally they are trying to get into the mortgage businss.
