I ordered the Bender Core Method DVD Kit one month ago. I received the product within the time specified and considered this to be a smooth internet transaction. However, within 2 weeks I started getting calls up to 20 times a day. If I answered, they would hang up, if it went to VM, they would not leave a message. Did a little research online and found out it was a telemarketing company that got information from my Bender Ball purchase. Followed directions from other consumers who reported online and told them I would not verify anything, and to immediately take my name off their list. Calls stopped and all was well...until...

This morning I checked my debit card account online and found a pending charge for $26.98 from Bender Ball. Called the customer service number (800-601-7088) and was told I had signed up for their Continuity Program and agreed to get new dvd's monthly. Apparently, it is included free with shipments, except that they forgot to inform the customer of this fact. I told the CS person that I wanted the program canceled and the money refunded to my debit card. I got a cancellation number and was told that the dvd had already shipped and I was given a RMA# and told that when they received it, they would refund my money less shipping.

I requested to speak with a manager...was put on hold and after 1 hour, gave up. Unfortunately I did not check with Ripoff Report before ordering from them. I will update this when I know the status of my refund.

I implore you NOT to do business with these people. In my view, this is credit card fraud and they are definitely NOT a respectable company.

After filing my report with Ripoff Report, I did a little research and learned more about Savvier LP including the name of one of the owners. I sent a fax directly to him detailing my experience with his company and requesting a full refund.

That was 2 days ago. Yesterday I received an email (copied below)

BENDER METHOD CORE TRAINING

REFUND CONFIRMATION CODE: XXXXXXXX
We have transmitted a $46.97 refund to your Credit Card ending in XXXX today.

Please keep in mind, it usually takes 3-5 business days for your credit card company to process the refund to your account, but due to circumstances beyond our control, some credit card companies will not apply the refund for up to a month, so your refund may not show up until your next statement.

If you have any questions about the status of your refund, please feel free to reply to this email. Or you can call us at 800-601-7088 from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT.

Please print this receipt and keep it as proof of your refund.

Sincerely, Customer Service

BENDER METHOD CORE TRAINING

It is apparent from this timely response that the problem encountered did not originate from the top of the company down. The owners do care about customer service and are willing to correct a bad experience.

I will post a final update when the refund is actually received. At that time I will be confident in rescinding my previous judgment of Savvier, LP and encourage you to give them a chance to prove their commitment to customer service.
