Complaint Review: Beneficial Client Care

I was recently contacted by a company calling themselves Beneficial Client Care. I spoke with a person identifying herself as Dawn Tress. I asked if they were afiliated with Beneficial Finance she said they were. She then said for a one time fee of $247.00, that covered insurance for the life of the card and the application fee I could obtain a Visa from a bank with a 6.9% fixxed intrest rate. She supplied me with a file ID# m3879, tracking # 3569678 and a phone # 1-866-999-0330 ext. 3066.

I tried on no less then 5 occasions to call the number to cancel the transaction and their full voicemail box was all I got. I finnally reached someone at (800)476-4828 who said they would forward the message. I do not have any faith in my message being forwarded and filed a report with the BBB of So. East Florida, the Massachusetts Attorney Generals Office and a National Law Enfocement notification agency at this number 800-876-7060. The gentlemen I spoke with here said it is also illeagal for anyone but a bank to be prepaid on transactions of this type.
