I was merely stating that you shouldn't call this a ripoff since you had the opportunity to inspect the car, found all the faults, and bought it anyway.

Now, as far as the ebay warranty... you said they did not report this as an Ebay sale to Ebay, or pay their fees? If you bought the car outside of Ebay, and the seller cancelled the Ebay ad to sell to you, of course it isn't covered. Doesn't matter what Ebay policy is, if they stopped the auction, there is no recourse.

E from Madison....why do you keep bringing up Ebay? Why would you post Ebays rules regarding vehicles bought on Ebay when by your own admission not only did you NOT buy this on Ebay, but it was NEVER LISTED ON EBAY! You claim that they "told the BBB that it was an Ebay transaction which it wasn't". So why are you posting their rules? Leave Ebay out of it.

As for everything else, if you spent 1/2 a day looking at a car and bought it without warranty after everything you found wrong, than it is your fault for buying a POS car, not the dealer. Just because you have buyers remorse doesn't mean it's a rip off. Your story just doesn't ring true with me, especially trying to muddle up the issue by mentioning Ebay

You are right about the maroni label i used the wrong termonolgy on that. As I said before i have six vehicles in my collection and do much of the work myself. As the dummy light came on and the other problems where hidden (i had a friend who worked at a used car dealership where they would cut the wire or reset the code on BMWs rather than do the service required, don't tell me its not done) which is why i checked it over as carefully as possable.

Not to malign you but i found it strange that you would come to the defence of a Used car dealer 2000 miles from you. Doesn't make a lot of sence.

A Maroni sticker is the option/price sticker. It is only required on new cars. The only sticker required on used cars is the FTC Buyers guide (as/is, warranty sticker)

First off, I am not a 'sleezy car dealer', I collect classic cars, and I do my own mechanical work on all of them. And, who told you that Ebay would 'take care of the repairs'? That will never happen. EVER EVER EVER.

Now, you said in your report that the A/C, the Heater and the Suspension was bad. You admitted to 'looking the car over extensively for half a day'. That's a long time to look at a car. In that time, you found 3 major items that needed attention.

I have no clue what a maroni sticker is, but you noticed it wasn't there, and you said it is required by law. So, again, with everything wrong with the car, you bought it anyway. Plus, a check-engine light (I assume that is what you mean when you say dummy light)can come on anytime. You said they would repair everything, then refused. Did you have that in writing? Doesn't sound like it.

So, you got taken. Next time, take the car to a qualified mechanic to be checked out before you buy, get EVERYTHING in writing, and you will not have these issues. Calling me names and making assumptions as to my reputation will not help.

Bensonville moters told the better business bureau it was an ebay transaction when in fact it was not. On Ebay they represented excellent mechanical condition which it was not. If it had been an ebay purchase and they paid the fees, then the repairs would have been covered with ebay and the certification process.

In fact they sold the car outside of ebay, they did not have a maroni lable as required by law, when i pointed out spare tire missing and other flaws they said they would take care of it, then refused to do so.

Shortly after found out it needed the $3500 in repairs (somehow they where able to temporarily turn off the dummy light that warned of the repair, undless you believe in quincidences of it turning on a day later on a high end vehicle. If so send me your address, i have a great bridge in brooklyn to sell you.

I have six vehicles, did research on the particular vehicle, and checked it out extensively (one of their complaints was that I looked over the car most of the afternoon), as well as researching problem areas of the particular vehicle and checking them out. My guess is that you are another sleasy car dealer. Don't worry your reputation is still sh*t.

I fail to see any ripoff. By your own admission, you bought the car from the dealer, not Ebay. All the things you mentioned would have been evident on a test drive. I don't understand what you are complaining about.

There is no way that Ebay wouldn't register the sale, unless YOU DIDN'T GO THROUGH EBAY to buy it. Which, you didn't. So, Ebay has absolutely NOTHING to do with the sale. And, how do you know they never paid the fee to Ebay? Ebay wouldn't have told you that.

So, your story here is losing credibility very quickly. Leave Ebay out of it, your beef is with yourself and the dealer, however, again, how could you not notice these things when you bought the car?
