Bentley’s Pet Grooming Skokie IL Groomer-Emily My friend Cathy Stein brought in a 13 1/2 year old long coat German Shepherd to be groomed. She specifically stated her dog was not to be shaved. The groomer Emily shave the sides of the dogs head, & his entire body including his tail down to the skin!!!! The dog is undergoing treatment for a malignant anal tumor & Emily has endangered his health & his life by her reckless actions!!! He now has no protection against the elements, sun rays, or insects. A reputable groomer should know that a GS should never be shaved except for a medical procedure. Emily was not apologetic for what she did & argued that she was right!!! Skokie Illinois
My friend Cathy Stein brought her 13 1/2,year old long coat German Shepherd to Bentley's Pet Grooming in Skokie, Illinois, to be groomed. She specifically said he was NOT to be shaved. Yet, Emily the groomer ignored that and shaved both sides of his head, his entire body, and even his tail down to the skin.
The dog is already undergoing treatment for a malignant Anal Tumor and certainly did not need the stress of being shaved! Emily has endangered the dog's health and life by her reckless actions! He now has no protection against the elements, sun rays, and insect bites.
A reputable groomer should know that German Shepherds should never be shaved except for a medical procedure. However, when my friend Cathy Stein was extremely upset at what had happened to her dog when she picked him up, Emily was argumentative that she was right and not at all apologetic!!!!
