I was looking for a company to rent a limousine for our New York wedding. I was recommended a company called Bergen Limo located in Ramsey, NJ. My wife and I drove up to N.J. several month prior to the wedding and signed contract and paid in full for a 20 passenger Cadillac Escalade limousine. On our wedding day July, 1 2006, 15 minutes prior to our agreed upon pick-up time I receive a call from a Bergen Limo operator informing me that our limo has broke down.

The operator advised me that they have a less luxurious Ford model back-up limo, that they can send in place of our Cadillac. At that point I was told that I will be compensated for the trouble and the difference in price. Left with no other alternative, I was forced to agree.

Our package was supposed to include: fully decorated limousine, stocked with Champagne and a Red Carpet. Instead our limo had opened bottles of liquor, dirty glasses, and a driver wearing a stained white shirt, without a tie or jacket.

Additionally, the back-up Ford limo had an Air Conditioner problem. Needless to say, with the sub-100 degree temperatures in NY on a July day, groom's men wearing black tuxes and bride's maids wearing long gowns taking pictures all over the city, was not a pleasant experience to say the least.

I have been in contact with the manager of Bergen Limo several dozen times (have phone records as proof) since the summer. However, instead of a refund I have gotten one excuse after another. The latest excuse being the check is in the mail.
