I went into the Berkley Cleaners located at 701 Merrimack Trl, Williamsburg, Va. on Wed, 10 Sept 2008. I needed three patches sewn on my military uniform. I asked the lady there what would it cost and when would it be
ready. She said it was $6.00 and I could pick it up after 5:00 on Friday. I returned on Monday, 15 Sept, 2008 to pick up the uniform. The owner said that is $20.00. I said the lady told me it was $6.00 and she even wrote it on the ticket. He said no that is the time that would be ready to pick up. I told him she said 5:00 was the time it would be ready for pick up and $6.00 and that was the price. I asked him how much did it cost for each
patch to be sewn on. He said it is $10.00 each and you owe me $20.00. He kept the ticket. On the ticket it said 3 patches, so if that was true it should have been $30.00 for the three patches not $20.00. I did not argue
with him I took the uniform and left.

Today, 16 Sept I called the other store he owns located at 1208 Jamestown Rd. Williamsburg, Va. Phone #757-229-7755 and asked the lady what would it cost per patch to sew on a uniform. She said it was $2.00 per patch, the same as the lady at the first store said.

I call the other store back and talked to the owner. I told him what the lady at the other store said. He said she was wrong. He said I own both stores and I know the prices I charge. I told him when I brought the coat in
I had talked to an oriental lady and she even wrote it on my ticket. He fired back in a nasty tone saying that lady was my wife, you got your coat, now goodbye.

I gave him a chance to solve this dispute. I think he should return my $14.00, as I said his wife said $2.00 each and the other store he owned said the same. I do not think business should be able to rip off the public
and get away with it.
