Complaint Review: Berkline Furniture

Berkline Furniture made junk furniture. Does not last owned under 2 years and is completely broken!!! Ripoff Morristown Tennessee

I purchased brand new berkline furniture (reclining sofa and loveseat) from raymour and flanigan in orchard park which I paid out 1795.81. The furniture came with a 1 yr warranty from berkline and an in home gold protection plan (5 yr) from Guardsman which i had to pay 129.95. I purchased the furniture 11/30/03 and was delivered 12/4/03. October 2005 I contacted guardsman regarding a slamming noise that occured when sitting back on my reclining sofa and also about the middle cushion on the couch sinking. A service man did come to my house probably around the middle of October and said the reclining mechanism was twisted (how this happens is beyond me) this would be covered and he had to order the part, he would fix the sinking cushion when he came back. January 2006 I contacted guardsman and in response I was told that the serviceman had ordered the part directly from berkline and I would be contacted when it came in. Now here we are in may and I still haven't been contacted. I found a web address for kholbert@berkline.com and I emailed them and told them I was dissatisfied with the furniture and service. I supplied them with my name, address, phone #, and e-mail address. They did not acknowledge my concerns. Completly ignored them. I am angry for the junk furniture the loss of money, ignorance of the company, the warranty company for not being concerned, and above all the couch being sunk in. I feel I am not getting anywhere alone, I wish someone would help me.
