just in case anyone is thinking about hiring Berkshire Financial Partners LLC, They are Quantum Financial but they changed their name cause Quantum Financial has racked up a horrible rep. I included both Quantum and Berkshire's BBB Reports.

 Look at the adress's.

Quantum has ripped off thousands of innocent people and business's.
Search Quantum online or on rip off report if you want to get a better I dea about Berkshire Financial Partners cause its all the same people. They formed a new company to get out of law suits filed against for lies and fraud.

DO NOT HIRE EITHER COMPANY.

I work in the tax industry and know people who have worked and work at Quantum, now Berkshire. They have a high turn over rate cause some people find they have hearts.

LOOK AT THE ADRESS's
Berkshire

Quantum

Also, if anyone knows anything about the BBB, look at the accredidation date of Berkshire, 11 years to become accredited? How stupid do you think Tax Payers are?

I had some back tax issues resolved recently by a company I will not name here.  However, while mediocre at best, an agreement was made (not what I would have hoped for).  I am now making payments to the IRS.  They filed a lien against me, as I owe them for 3 years.  I started getting "official" letters, the kind that you had to tear off each end and the top.  Several "companies" were sending me these, due to the fact that my county of residence keeps these records public.  Berkshire was one of the first firms to contact me by both letter and phone.

The first call was a woman who works (or worked) for them, stating to me that the lien was very bad news and will be followed up by levies, seizures, etc.  I asked her how this was possible since I was already paying the IRS via EFTPS (Electronic Federal Tax Payment Systems). She stated that the firm I hired should have stopped the liens at the beginning.  While I am not certain, I understand liens are filed by the IRS, regardless of the tax resolution companies making an agreement.  The threatening letters did stop once I hired this firm (not Berkshire). I did receive a letter from the IRS that payments would start soon.  I guess these so-called "firms" try to get potential clients to believe that liens are actually levies.  I tried to explain this to her, even telling her that I was already making payments, but it didn't matter to her.  They seemed to think I was dumb enough to send them money to "lift" the liens or something.  I told her I would never do business with them, and hung up.

On 11-19 I received ANOTHER call from Berkshire, this time another person, asking me if I was aware I had a lien against me.  I said, 'yes and I have already made 4 payments to the IRS'.  He then said "so you're making payments directly to the IRS?"  Obviously thinking I don't know who I'm making payments to.  I answered I receive letters every month from the IRS stating my recent payment and the balance due, plus the due date.  That still didn't matter to him, he then got snippy, saying "we're not the IRS".  All I remember is that I shouted many obscenities then told them to stop calling me. After I hung up, I wondered why he would say that?  They obviously prey on people would believe them that something more can be done.

BTW, anyone who believes the 2nd post stating the original post was fraud from the competetion will surely be scammed by this company (sadly).  Hope this helps!

P.S.  I don't trust a BBB report either.  I could start a "company" and make up positive reports and make it look legitimate.

I worked for them for awhile when they were Quantum and they are pieces of s**t.  When I left none of their associates were licensed.  They used a CPA to sign on power of attorneys but the clients only spoke to the unlicensed associates.  I feel sorry for the people and businesses who hire them.  All they want to do is rip them off.  I guess that's why they went from Quantum to Berkshire (which is a horrible name by the way).

No Fabrication

As an ex-employee of Quantum a.k.a. Berkshire Financial, I feel as if it is important to say that although the original post is not well written, it is certainly not a fabrication.

This company runs like a lot of other tax resolution companies in Colorado ( and in other states as well), and their main focus is on bringing in as much money as possible from their clients, not on actual resolution of client cases.  Some work does happen, but often cases are closed without resolve because the clients simply cannot pay any more money.

Berkshire Financial has been open for 11 years, but not as a tax company.  This was a previously dormant company whose good standing was transferred to Quantum to save Quantum from closing due to the horrible reputation it created for itself.  These companies ARE one and the same, make no mistake about that.  If the above rebuttal is actually from a client, then they are one of the few who received prompt and efficient resolution.  This is not typical for most clients of these companies.

The advice I would give ANY potential client when considering hiring representation from any company is to:

1.) Check out the companies.  Not by a BBB report necessarily.  Google them.  Are there complaints against that company at all?  If so, what kind?  Decide if their history is something you can live with.  DO NOT take any telemarketer's objections to your concerns as a green light.  History tends to repeat itself.

2.) Prior to engaging any representation, get a licensed tax professional on the phone.  This would include ONLY an Enrolled Agent, a CPA or an attorney.  Ask them to fax you a copy of their credentials if you want to.  These are the ONLY people qualified to represent you, so you should get their input on your case, not a telemarketer.  Be advised that most telemarketers in this industry do not have college degrees, are not licensed to practice before the IRS, and frequently have past or ongoing criminal issues.  This is not the kind of person you want handling your confidential financial matters.  Just food for thought.

complaint is totally false and written by a competitor

The complaint filed above is a complete fabrication. Please follow the BBB links provided and you will see that both Quantum and Berkshire are A rated companies, and they have worked to resolve every complain that ahs been made.

This complaint was obviously filed by a competitor, as there are a few of the same complaints with different names on them across different ripoff report style sites within one hour of each other.

I would encourage people to talk to them and judge for themselves, as I was helped by them and can attest to their fine character.

Thank you.
