Complaint Review: Bernard Haldane associates

Went to See Lew Carlson after his secretarty contacted me. He told me that my resume had been specifically sent to him by a third party. He told both me and my wife that Benard Haldane would be writing my resumes and would be marketing me in the "hidden job" market. He said that I would be working with three people to give them the information they needed to get my job campaign together. I asked him a direct question of "would they be able to get me a job in my field" and his answer was "Yes." He also went on to say that he had been in the area 25+ years and most of the executives in the area had been placed by his firm. He said because of this, they would have no problem getting me a job in the area. I told him that I also wanted to have other states(Fla, Ohio, Tx) included in my search. His answer to this was that they had offices in each of those states so there would be a problem getting me in to see the decision makers for companies in those areas. He intially told me the price would be $3000 but when we went to sign-up, the price went to $4500. I paid $1500 up front and began my meetings with his "associate". These meetings were supposed to be 1 to 1.5 hrs long. I went to 8 meetings and not one was longer than 25min. About half way though, I realized there program was much different than what they had told my wife and I and asked for a meeting with Mr. Carlson. The meeting was set, but the day of the meeting his secretary cancelled because he supposedly had an emergency. He made no effort to follow-up afterwards. I have tried to call 4 times to date and have left messages with the secretary and on their voicemail but he refuses to call me back to discuss the decrepancies.
