Complaint Review: Bernard Haldane Associates

I was sent e-mail from Bernard Haldane explaining they had companies interested in my background and would like me to send them my resume. Soon after they received my resume they asked me to come in for an interview.

During the interview, William Tamblyn explained how their company had exclusive access to managers which make hiring decisions and Bernard Haldane is the first place they look to fill these positions because of there history of success in finding the right candidates. I took some tests and spoke a bit about my work history and he assured that I was just the type of candidate he was looking for. He told me that Bernard Haldane had an impeccable reputation and was required to screen candidates very thoroughly and I needed to take a packet of papers home to further the screening process and scheduled another meeting.

On the second meeting he presented me with a list of skills he felt I could succeed at. The list of skills was identical to the job description of a computer software consultant found at a salary comparison website, the job I have been doing for the last fifteen years.

He stressed that to gain access to Bernard Haldanes list of open positions I would have too pay $4,700.00 and take more homework for preparation for the next meeting. I then said I needed time to think about it and would like to take the homework with me and would pay him before the next meeting if I decided to accept the offer. He refused to let me leave with the paperwork because it contained valuable information that could not leave his office without a commitment. I agreed to put $2000.00 on my credit card providing I could returned the next day if I decided against the deal.

When I got home I found this ripoffreport website and was astounded by what I saw here. I was at there office when they opened the next day.

While waiting for Tamblyn in the reception room, another potential victim entered for her initial interview and left promptly when I explained what kind of money they wanted and their reputation of preying on the jobless which I found at this website.

When I finally met Tamblyn I simply stated I found this website and came back to have the credit card payment credited.

He didn't have much of an argument but explained that they really are a good company and only a few bad apples from Kansas gave the company a bad name. He took my card to credit my account and left me waiting for thirty minutes. When he returned he had more than two feet of sales slip tape and explained he had trouble operating the device. He tore off the credit slip from the two feet of tape and I signed and left thinking this would be the end of the problem.

NOT SO.

When I returned home I checked My credit card on-line and discovered my available credit was reduced yet another $2,000.00.

So now I'm in the process of complaining to the Oakland County Prosecutors Office of this unauthorized activity on my credit card. The saga continues.....
