Like so many others on this site, I too was duped by BHA. I went to them in July after being downsized out of a local company. I met with their "closer", who gave me a smooth pitch about how wonderful I was and how impressed his bosses were with me. I thought this was strange because they were impressed with someone they had never met.

I was told by the salesman that, "We have contacts", "We know people". Based on this I plunked down $3,850 to be able to get in front of their "contacts". I began meeting with their "counselor", who kept telling me "You're not ready to meet with employers yet". I explained my situation to him and indicated that I was ready RIGHT NOW to meet with employers and I needed to ASAP. After a couple of meetings like this, the counselor asked, "Have you been out to Monster.com yet?" When I heard this I knew there were no contacts and this was all a scam.

Before I got that stupid question, all we really discussed were my assignments, and did I know anybody I could call about a job!! I thought, well if I knew anybody I sure as hell wouldn't pay BHA $3,850 to do it for me!!!!

Their relationship to the company: Consumer Suggestion

Rebuttal:
I too agree that they are a scam. I had paid for their sevices almost 2 years ago and was told about them having "contacts" and that was what convinced me to fork over the money. I was then given a workbook to answer questions that they used to put together my resume.

They also asked me who I could call about getting a job and what kind of a job I wanted and this was after I paid them and completed a survey that was suppose to help them to know where to begin on the job search.

I stopped going to them after I got my resume and found a job much faster than they could! I do have to admit they did put together a great resume and gave me great interview tips but I could've done all of that much cheaper through a resume services and buying books!
