Bernard Haldane Scam posts jobs that don't exist to lure you into their office
While looking for a new job I sent an email in response to an add for a Branch Manager. The email was responses@pittsburghcareer.com and did not identify who the company was.
I got a call and an email back from Bernard Haldane saying that they wanted to see me about this opening. When I asked for information about the job I was brushed off and told that my resume was already submitted to the client and that the client would call me if they were interested in me. Then they insisted that I come in for an "evaluation".
I took the morning off work, spent $9 to park, and wasted 3 hours of my time. First of all, the man I was to see kept me waiting for a half an hour before finally meeting with me.
Then he starts in to the "hard sell" routine and before I know it he's telling me their "services" aren't free. I cut the meeting short and told him that I did not want to waste my time or his.
Of course nothing was ever mentioned about the job that was advertised.
After reading most of the entries posted on your site, I am so glad that I got away from them as cheaply as I did.
