Best BuY Amanda, geek squard Lied, product misrepresentation, poor customer relations, humiliation from an all white staff, extortion of money for services not received Kansas city, Kansas
I purchased a new laptop on 12/11/2010 from Best Buy. Was charged $50 to set up and was assured this was the way to go by Sales person. Got home to find out I had problems with some software and performance issues. Computer advertised it had Office 2010 installed already. When I tried to open app. it CID not work and requested I go on line and purchase it. I called store daily and they refused to help and never let me speak with sales person of whom I purchased laptop. While in store having it checked the manager of Geeksquard shared that the laptop did not have software properly installed and that's when I was told computer had bad hard drive. The warranty stated that within a year I was covered for new replacement however it was shared they could not do that and as a result I had to lose my $50 for services that I did not get. The manager Amanda made it embarrassing made it clear she was doing her job however had I been White I would got the same treatment I saw they we getting .I was told Microsoft office don't come on new laptops even after I shared that it was advertised and sold with it bring on it for $60 days free! Refused to swap out for working computer and harshly gave my money back

Don't play the race card next time
#2Consumer Suggestion

I suggest you put the race card away. It just makes you look more ignorant.
NEVER pay for the "optimization" service at Best Buy. It is a joke, and a total rip off. It is the only way they can fund the "Geek Squad".
Get only a new computer that is new, and in a sealed box, and you will be OK.
But do it without the race card.
