I sent everything required to receive the ATI rebate including the proof of purchase. After 8 weeks went buy and no refund, I contacted Best Buy rebate center at 1-800-849-0444. The rebate center informed me that the proof of purchase was not included. I distintively remember including the proof of purchase and knew immediately that I was ripped off. They asked if I still had the box and of course after 8 weeks I did not.

Consider yourself lucky, because you are one of the few who have had no problem. The Rip-off Report has uncovered evidence that Fulfillment Houses get rich by not paying out rebates. They may have to pay you, but they make it difficult on you to obtain it. Read about other Rebate Rip-off nightmares.

I also bought a computer from Circuit City, I submitted 3 different rebates (with proof of purchase and a copy of the receipt) and after a while I received all three totalling about 500 dollars. The rebates came at varying times. My mother also received rebates from best buy on palm handhelds. If you make a copy of the receipt and proof of purchase they cannot deny the rebate.
