September 2010 we purchased an 57" LG Tv with a home stereo system by LG.  Geek Squad brought the system out and installed it.  That very night the system made terrible popping sounds......

That was a year ago.  Geek Squad has been out 5 time to "fix" the problem, they have not figured it out.  Now they want to charge me to come try and fix a problem they have failed at for the last year,  so much for that high dollar black tie protection warranty that covers everything.  Best Buy does not care because they have my money.

Geek Squad just cant install or fix the system.  I have now been on the phone trying to get service for 5 hours, last time it was only 4 hours.
Do not purchase from Best Buy!!!!!!!   Best Buy and Geek Squad do not care about thier service or customers.

After filiing a complaint with the BBB Best Buy Corporate stepped in and made things right.  It is a shame that it had to go that far, and I still wasted many days on the phone attempting to resolve the issue.  Best Buys customer service is the worst!!!  But we have a new system, and I am pleased with the service we recieved after the fact.

Best Buy tells me it is covered, Geek Squad says it is not.  The home theater system is covered but I have to bring it in, we already did this.  It is an installation problem so this does no good.  Geek squad has been out numberous time for this problem and has not been able to fix it, now that the year installation warranty is up they will not come out for free to attempt yet again to fix thier mistake... they want to charge me.  I am pretty sure this is against some law and will file a complaint with the appropriate agency.  Total BS!!!!!!!!!!!  Geek Squad and Best Buy are crooks, stay away from them!!!!!!!!

You are getting the runaround.  Geek Squad may be able to look at connection issues, but not only are they are not qualified, but they are not authorized to repair home theater systems.  If in the first year, you are covered under the mfr warranty.  Go to the website and find an authorized servicer.   If after the mfr warranty, your GSBTPP kicks in - call to obtain authorized service.
