Imagine buying a Cadillac with a Northstar engine with eight cylinders only to discover they only dropped in four pistons after you drove it home.

I bought a HP Pavillion dv6233se laptop from Best Buy with an AMD 64 bit processor. Only after I had the machine for over 14 days (the return period) did I discover that the operating system (Vista Home Premium) was only 32 bit.

This craptop will never function as promised. Best Buy won't take it back or exchange it. HP won't respond either other than purchase one of our dv9000 series machines for $1,400.

HP won't guarantee that the craptop I bought will be compatible with a 64 bit operating system: drivers may not work; DVD, screen, hard drive, etc. may not work with a 64 bit op. system.

Windows wants $400 for the Ultimate 64 bit op. system. I paid $699 for the craptop. HP says if I install it it, my warranty may be voided. There is NO TRADE IN VALUEFOR OEM INSTALLED VISTA.

I tried pricing out a 64 bit AMD with 64 bit op. system from Dell. They ain't got one. (I doubt HP does either).

Don't buy HP, Best Buy or any machine that says 'true multitasking capability' because it's just BS.

Don't buy Vista even if you want a 32 bit operating system. It's not street ready and has many compatibility issues.
