The Location of the Retailer is Bestbuy in Whitby, Ontario but the problem is world wide.

The issue is the total failure of the HP Pavillion TX1000 Tablet PC. The problem is overheating of the unit through regular use desoldering the onboard Nividia Graphics Chip. It starts with the failure of one or more components of the Laptop usually a couple of months past warranty. Then the system will fail to boot. Showing only a black screen.

If you call HP technical support, contact by e-mail or online assistance they insist this is the first time they have heard of ANY issue with this model and that only spending $290 to have HP run diagnostics will help. According to other posters in online forums regarding this problem describe how the technicians will tell you the motherboard needs to be replaced at $600 value.

This wont even fix the problem because the issue is a design flaw. If the motherboard is replaced it will do it in time. Approx 1 year of use. 

1000s of online forum posts report the same problem. One led me to this website.
