Best Buy/HRS USA credit card ripoff *REBUTTAL
I purchased a computer for my daugter's high school graduation. Best Buy was only to happy to set up a credit card for me. At the time everything was great.
Then, when I tried to collect on the promotional parts of this particular computer, I couldn't. I was suppossed to have gotten 1 year free MSN Internet service, but I couldn't, because I didn't have a Visa or MasterCard and they wouldn't accept their own Best Buy Card. Then I had upgraded the printer with the computer and the sales rep. assured me that it would still qualify for the rebate/promo of $100. But, guess what it didn't.
Now, on to the credit card. I was suppossed to have 6 months, no interest. DIDN'T GET IT. I cannot make payments in the store. And even if you mail your payment in a week ahead of time, they don't receive it in time and you get charged $25.00 fee. I am trying to pay off the balance. I made an enormous payment of $1270.00 last month, my balance is just over $200.00 and my monthly payment is more than it has been. It is now $61.00. When I called them, they said the payment went down. However, they neglect to tell you that if you get a late charge on you account, that adds an additional $10.00 to the monthly payment.
Do not get caught up in Best Buy's or HRS USA's "trap"

Rebuttal:
Best Buy/HRS credit card is not a rip off, if you would pay your bill on time you would not have any problems. I have a Best Buy card and have not had any problems. I have bought a computer package, a large screen TV and other items with no problem.
