This company appears to have created a formal process to hold payments until they are considered 'late' and only then apply the payment to the account. Although my bank shows the payment clearing my account on April 1st, HRS did not apply the cash to my account until the 11th - 1 day after the due date!!!! They then applied a $29.00 late fee to my account.

After calling them and being told that my bank must be incorrect, I am furious beyond words.

This account was set up via Best Buy, and I intend to inform them that I will no longer do business with them based on my experience with their finance company. I believe that this type of behavior should be actionable by a good class action attorney.

Needless to say, I will be scrutinizing all companies that I deal with to see if they are associated with Household Bank in any way. If they are, I will immediately cease doing business with them.
