I purchased a laptop computer and purchased a three year service contract. Within a few days I found the battery would not work more than a few minutes. As it was 2 weeks before christmas they told me they were busy and I wouldn't get it back until after the new year, but it would be ok to use it for now and bring it in then.
I took it in (twice)after the new year and all they did was reload the original software and declare nothing was wrong.

I again told them it was the battery and they told me it was not covered because I waited too long, batteries are only covered for 30 days.

Some time later (but still well within the 3 year contract) the display went out. The people at Best Buy told me it would cost me $800.00 to replace the display.
A totally useless service contract. The only thing covered is free estimates on how much it is going to cost to repair it.
