I purchased a V-Tech telephone for my daughter's christimas present on December 18,2003. On Christimas Day I installed the phone to find out it did not work. I took the phone back on December 30 to the Manassas Store where I bought it. I was told that I only paid 99 cents for the phone and they would not exchange the phone because it was a discontinued model.

I went back to the shelve and found 30+ more phones Identicle but a different modle number on the box. The only difference was a ear phone conector was on the new phone. Best buy would not honor the return, they would only offer my 99cents back.

The would not offer to fix the phone. The young kid would not honor my request to exchange based on them not telling me it was a discontinued modle or how much I paid for it. He told me I should have known what I paid. I told him I spent $250.00 that night for christmas.

Had I spent $99.00 for the phone and wanted to retun it they would have only given me a store credit. So the morral to the story is had I bought from Wal-Mart, Circut City or K-Mart I would not have had a hassel in returning any Item. They would have assisted me in customer service. Bust not Best Buy.

They don't even know what customer service is. I will never ever buy another Item at best Buy, I will never recommend best buy to anyone ever. Best buy is a ripoff. When I called the corporate office, they told me the same thing, it's a 99cents phone and I was only going to get 99 cents back. They also said I should know what I paid for all items. When They have 30+ items on the shelve and no price. Anyway, I will never buy again. I went directly to Walmart and purchased another phone Identicle to the one I tried to return. Bestbuys price 59.95 Walmarts price $48.95. GO TO WALMART NOT RIPPOFF WORSTBUY.

No - this guy is upset because Best Buy will not exchange his 99 cent phone for one that costs over 40 dollars.

Does this guy understand the concept of The Rip Off Report? Does he know that he is supposed to be writing about how Best Buy ripped HIM off? Now how HE tried to rip off Best Buy?
