Best Buy Scammed out of $82.50 Westland Michigan

I bought a Logitech K800 wireless keyboard at store #403 located on Cowan Rd in Westland. The keyboard stopped working so I brought it in with me to the store. Some guy helped me at the service desk. I didn't have the receipt with me so I was fine getting store credit back.

It turns out that when I bought the keyboard, my name was never tied to it electronically. I was able to return my headset, but not the keyboard. The were able to look up my headset on the computer but not the keyboard. This one act has turned me away from Bestbuy and the corporate computer world. I will do everything in my power to turn customers away from Best Buy in the future. They will no longer get my service or the service of people I can influence.

They exhort customers with vastly inflated prices and their geek squad is basically a job distribution node that contracts out work to real professionals. Everyone makes near minimum wage so the quality of people working there isn't too great. This one little error cost me $82.50. The employees have no will of their own and basically say whatever they were trained to say. There is not one lick of integrity among them.

Ok, in response to my hidden admirer (I filed this complaint). I am merely commenting on their lack of consistency. The first purchase they asked for my contact information but for the keyboard, they didn't ask. Now, I would have given them my contact information beforehand if I knew this was the purpose it served. I'm not holding them respoonsible for losing my receipt. Actually, I threw it away because I really trust Bestbuy and Logitech (at that point in time). I didn't expect their product to fail me. 

Actually, I'm not a scammer. Scamming would be to lie about my product return. I went in there and told them the truth about the two products I was returning. I didn't have my receipt, wasn't expecting anything, but asked them to return them anyway. Luckily, their store policy allows them to give store credit for non-receipt returns/expired policy returns where the receipt can be digitally recalled.

If anyone is immature, its you with your language and ad hominem attacks. I'm merely telling other customers about my experience. Out of the blue you start harrassing me and calling my a princess (lol). I don't have a "caste" attitude nor live in India where that term originated. I have worked at minimum wage jobs most of my life. I am not better than anyone. I am unemployed but when I had a job it was making $7.25-$10/hr. You started the whole caste thing so if we continue that, I would be at the same level.

If your read more closely, you'll notice most of my hatred is directed at those corporate pigs with their college degreed sense of entitlement. I briefly worked in a corporate setting and I can tell you that those people were the most evil people I have ever met. They are slimy, rude, backstabbers, brown nosers, gossipers, and liars. It is those types of people and businesses I am working to undermine by posting this review.

 So how exactly is this their fault that YOU did not have a receipt?? Its a giant company. If you DID NOT give your name or phone number which would be the only reason they wouldnt be able to find a copy of your reciept, how can you in any way blame them for YOUR issue. We only have your word that you purchased it at that store. They only have your word that you purchased it from them. If they couldnt find a reciept, then its not THEIR fault. As a consumer its YOUR responsability to keep your receipt for ATLEAST the minimum amout of time for a return. To hold them responsable for YOUR mistakes is a highly immature response.

So instead of admitting that YOU screwed up and going home and finding the receipt, youre going to blame them because they couldnt find your receipt and then hold them accountable for YOUR PROBLEM!! Really mature of you. Are you SURE your an adult?? Are you going to stomp your feet and hold your breath too??

First, YOU ARE A SCAMMER!!! Its obvious by your own words. You brought back a item without a reciept and expected them to give you something without PROOF OF PURCHASE. You then attempt some internet blackmail attempting to embarrass them into giving you your way. You are sleeze. You should be beaten with an oar fiercly. Those poor ppl that you so easily dismiss as minimum wage are doing the best  they can. I have found that most of your minimum wage employees know more then even managment. So your "caste" attitude is even more sickening when you add meaning to the words you posted. You think YOU are better then the people you interact with. YOU think youre so much better then the very same people that not only do you demean by calling them less then they are, but you blast them for following their companys policies. So in essence you are trash.

YOU need to get your head out of your arse. YOU have to live with the world, the world doesnt have to live with you. Those very same employees that YOU feel is ok to demean are the same employees that you want to do a favor for you.  Youre a stupid selfish self entitled twit that needs not only an attitude adjustment, but the universe should really make you walk a mile in their shoes.

Heres a challenge for you princess. How about YOU go and work a minimum wage job?? Let me guess, YOURE TOO GOOD FOR THAT. Until you do work a minimum wage job and have to deal with self entitled idiots such as yourself, you have no place to talk about them.
