 I recently purchased an olympus digital camera from best buy which ended up being damaged, which I noticed as soon as I started to use it, there was a black dot on the top of the screen which will later spread across the top of the screen, iI was out of town for a day and was thinking about taking it back as soon as I got back, three days after the purchase, I ended up going back to the store where I talked to a costumer service rep. about  my situation, before I was  even done explaining myself I was cut off with a remark "it was you who broked it you did something to it "  . he just assume that I had done it without me fully explaining myself, I felt that  he was accusing of something that I had not done, at that point I asked him to speak to his manager which for some reason it took him about twenty minutes to respond  to the situation at hand .


after explaining myself fully to the manager he told me that there return policy will not be applicable due to the fact that he knew for sure that i had damaged the camera which in fact this was not the case. he assured me that it was impossible that the camera could be damaged due too just shipping it from point A to point B. i felt humiliated and angry at the same time, he told me that it was my fault and that i had to deal with , pretty much he put all the fault on me making me believe there was nothing i could do about it i was now stuck with this damaged camera that i had purchaesd from them, i am being penalized for buying something that came out defected. he did offered me a discount on other cameras of my choice, at this remark i told him i will never want to purchase anything from best buy ever again, they dont stand behind there products.I am very dissapointed i will advice friends and families to be carefull when purchasing from best buy stores
