BEST BUY SUCKS Charging restocking fees for defective camera Arlington Virginia
Purchased a casio exilim from bestbuy and when i got to using it guess what "it's 100% dead"
so i go to return it @ bestbuy to get my money back and they said i can only exchange it for the same model
"huh if the first one was broke WTF would i want another one for" or be charge a 15% restocking fee which is like $21.00
so i just said F*** it and returned it and took the 15% fee and i agreed to myself to NEVER SHOP @ BESTBUY AGAIN

So you bought a camera that didn't work, but didn't want to have it replaced -- instead just wanted your money back?
Why?
Best Buy has had this policy since the middle 90s...it's nothing new. And they now (at least our local store) place a sticker on the box that clearly states the restocking fee and return policy.
Unfortunately people buy electronics with no intention of keeping them but using them for a few days/weeks/whatever and then returning them for their money back.
The alternative is to shop at a place like WalMart, which does refund the entire amount and then places the used item back on the shelf for the next sucker.
If you really want good service when shopping for a camera, go to the local camera store; some place that has a vested interest in their customers.

Gee, Mr. X, if you ''just said F***'' to them I wonder why they wouldn't be more accomodating?

I congratulate you on successfully applying the Dale Carnegie approach with them.
Maybe the camera was dead simply because its batteries were dead?
