On 3/11/03, I bought Verizon wireless service from an authorized Verizon Wireless dealer. I was told by Fred at the store that since I was using my old phones and if I kept uninterrupted service for at least 190 days I would be entitled to a $300.00 rebate.

190 days have came and gone and so have the owners. Their numbers have also been disconnected. Their three stores in Freeport, Oceanside and Hewlett are still open but operating under different names and swear they have no idea who the previous owners are.

I have also contacted Verizon Wireless who authorize these so called resellers and say sorry but we can't help you. Beware of the cell phone rebate, it's a scam.
