I was hired by Best Choice Roofing (BCR) to install a foam roof for a client of thiers. The project was to install a spray foam roof on top of a flat roof on a residence. The other half of the project I was NOT contracted for was to tear down and build a massive wood awnig.

I was given instruction to cooridinate with the carpenter they hired (as a sub, apparently they use all sub contractors for all jobs). Long story short, they kept pushing the wood awning back. It was excuse after excuse that their carpenter got a DWI and other stories.

I was asked if I had a crew to build the awning. Since the awning needed to be done before I could advance the project I reluctantly agreed to demo and install the awning with my own crews. I paid all my own crews to demo the awning, did property clean up and roof loaded all new material.

It was clear that the client was getting tired of getting the run around from BCR and my project was 99% done. BCR owed me approx. $10,000 on the roof install. One morning we showed up to work and the client asked that we leave the job because they wanted to sue BCR.

The client used foul language against my installers even though the delays had nothing to do with me or my people. They were just so heated with BCR that they wanted to take it out on anyone.

It was a sad situation and we were the ones trying to keep the client happy. I paid a lot of labor out of my pocket for a job that had nothing to do with me. We only tried to help.

BCR or Best Choice roofing in San Antonio was the worst choice I ever made. They gave me the run around for my $10,000 until I the window passed for me to file a claim in small claims court. Eventually they stopped answering my calls.

I'm not mad or bitter but you might think twice before hiring this circus.

As a side note I went to do a job for someone in Leon Valley and she was firing them off the job for similar antics. Smh.
