This group does not seem serious about actually allowing animals to be adopted.  We visited their supposed Adoption Event three Saturdays and visited with the same dog each time.  We got along well and spoke to the handlers.  We were told the dog got along well with people, kids, and cats (all of which are in our home). We spoke about adopting the dog and were told to fill out the online application.

We answered all the questions, including telling them the following: we own a home, have a large, fenced yard, the two adults work on alternate days so someone is always home. We live near a large park and a dog park.  All of this information was on the form we submitted.  We were sent a brief, rude email simply stating we were rejected for no other reason that because we did not already own a dog and the dog is a "work in progress."

Online reviews suggest that the vast majority of people posting about this group are not fans and meet with the same arbitrary rejection.

I do not believe their pet adoption events should be supported because they are not serious about allowing most of the animals to be adopted. If an event is called an adoption fair, then animals should not be brought unless there is a serious intention of allowing them to be adopted.  If this dog was being brought to socialize him (although we had no problems with him in our three visits), then the handlers should say this up front and not allow people to go through the charade of filling out the paperwork.  If people are to be rejected, there should be a real reason provided.

I urge everyone to avoid becoming involved with this group.  Give your support to real rescue groups, the ones that actually try to work with families and place animals, or to animal shelters.
