On June 19, 2008 I placed an order online with Best Deal Magazines for 3 subscriptions: Life Extension, Hopscotch for Girls and Where to Retire. Life Extension and Hopscotch came as ordered. I did not notice that Where to Retire never came until March 11, 2009 when I received a notice from Best Deal Magazines that it was time to renew these subscriptions. I called the 800 #, but they do not return calls, referring subscribers instead to their website to email them at , which I did. Then they emailed back an automated response saying that the email must be replied to at another email address which I did.

I have emailed them numerous times and they have done nothing about the missing subscription.

I called Where to Retire magazine. The representative tried to contact Best Deal Magazines with no success. Then she contacted the magazine clearinghouse who said they never received the subscription. Best Deal Magazines emailed that they sent the order to the clearinghouse, but I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE MAGAZINE and is is 2 1/2 months since I brought this to their attention.

IN THE MEANWHILE, I renewed Life Extension magazine and Hopscotch through Best Deal Magazine on April 7, 2009. On June 7, 2 months later, I emailed regarding the renewals after both magazine companies confirmed they had not received either of the renewals and were ending my existing subscriptions.

Best Deal Magazines is a NIGHTMARE TO DEAL WITH when there are problems. A great deal is NOT A BEST DEAL if you have to spend hours on the phone and computer trying to get the product you ordered.

On June 18, 2009 I contacted my credit card company regarding the 2 magazines ordered on April 7, 2009. They are giving me a conditional refund from Best Deal Magazines bank account while they try to reach Best Deal Magazines. Unfortunately, it is too late to get a refund for the Where to Retire magazine ordered in 2008.

Get a good magazine deal FROM SOMEONE ELSE---NOT BEST DEAL MAGAZINES.
