Complaint Review: Best Discount Camera - The Digital Store Inc.

After having visited their website my husband ordered an MP3 player using the phone number provided with a person supposedly named "James S." His Amex was charged, and a few weeks later we received a box with a cordless phone in it instead of the MP3 player. Somehow my husband was able to get through to someone on the phone who assured him that the mistake would be taken care of, his Amex credited the full amount, and that they would provide us with a return authorization number to return the mis-shipped items at their expense.

We shipped the cordless phone back to them 2nd day air with the RA# they specified, and even used their UPS account# they provided us with. A few days later we tracked the package on the UPS website and sure enough it was signed for on 2-18-03 by someone with the last name of "Zelkowitz".
Since then they have not credited the Amex, have claimed that we never returned their box, and that we have submitted warranty paper work for the cordless phone which we never even opened beyond determining that the box included a phone, and not an MP3 player. Now their web addresses, phone numbers etc. are all void and they're operating under various aliases.

Beware of these scam artists!!! Warn everyone you know!
