My 20 year old daughter was "rescued" by local police officials in Michigan TODAY from Best Drug Rehab/ Tranquility Detox Center. The whole day was a nightmare. they are committing insurance fraud, they will not let you speak to your loved while they are in detox. My daughter was flown (at their expense with ONE ticket left available) to what I thought was Best Drug Rehab in Manistee, MI. Only to discover she was at Tranquility Detox in Battlecreek, MI. We had a very difficult time locating her. We live in Upstate, NY!
A Local police official---when I asked him how he found her---stated he had been there before. This rehab is CURRENTLY under investigation for abuse allegations from clients, a death of a young girl last year at this facility, and insurance fraud! DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE...or yourself....no matter how desperate you may feel or the situation is..there are other ACCREDITED facilities in your local area! This IS NOT and will not be end of this story...they just pissed off the wrong mother!!

I just tried to get in to a rehab hes still out there trying to get peoples # his phone number is 269 704 7570 michigan it really sucks that if someone dosnt search his number they will go through it too.

I went through the same process with my daughter in 2012. We have had to relive it again recently with some man calling threatening us that we need to pay them 11,000. I told him to go ahead and sue us we would see who would win in court. I had not heard anything since but just got a bill that they tried to bill my insurance company again for another 10,000 for dates my daughter was not even there. It is sad that people like this exsist in this world, when we are trusting them with our children.

I am sorry for your experience and hope your daughter is now safe.
If you have not already, please file a complaint with CARF as they have accredited Best Drug Rehabilitation. However, the bait and switch of funneling patients to Tranquility Detox is blatant fraud.
You may easily file a complaint with CARF by searching for their website. File the compliant under Best Drug Rehabilitation.
How CARF ever accredited BDR is a mystery, but they are NOT an inspective accreditation and should not be relied upon anyway. Their accreditation is more of a marketing tool than any assurance of quality.
Also, if you need further help in reporting your experiences to other agencies, ( MI Attorney General, BBB and so forth) and would like support in that process, the new website narcononreviews ( dot net) has many resourcs and people to help you.
Reaching for the Tipping Point is another forum that has lots of helpful information and support for victims.
