We requested and reviewed information obtained from Best Gourmet. We called all the individuals who raved about their experience. We called the Better Business Bureau. We were still leary, but were told there were only 2 distributorships available in our area and so we somewhat reluctently sent a $2,500 deposit in November 2003. We went on an extended vacation with the intentions of sending the balance and getting started after the first of the year of 2004.

We returned from vacation and decided to try to get in contact with the individual who had supossedely purchased an existing distributorship in Santa Fe. We were told that indivudual was not very friendly and consequently were not given his name or number.

Not satisfied with the individuals the company gave us to talk to, and not totally sure these people were legitimate, we asked for names and numbers for locations where the supposed distributor in Santa Fe had his product for sale. We fully intended in making a trip up there to further investigate. We also asked for information on other distributors closer to our area. We were told there were no distributors close to our area and that without the Santa Fe distributor's permission, we could not be given any information on any locations where this distributor had his product.

We then asked for a refund of our deposit stating we just didn't feel right about persuing the opportunity. We were told to write a formal letter requesting a refund, which we did. We were told upper management would have to approve the refund. 45 days later, upon attempting to contact the company to find our where our money was, we discovered the 1-800 number we had was "invalid or not available in our area." The long distance number 1-561-750-9099 had been disconnected without further information.

I sent in $2500 bucks too. Well these guys are getting richer by the day, suckering us in the BS franchise, aren't they? Curt told me there was a huge market here in Westbury, NY. And there were no other Gourmet Coffee Franchises here, well Curt, you are a liar. I spoke with 2 others here in the city, that are also Best Gourmet Coffee Franchise owners, the have the same story. Well now that the truth be known, and none of us are selling coffee at the rate you promised, (I hand wrote your verbal offer right into the agreement, which you signed) we have some room to work with. Curt, you should call me, Bill and Shaqihaa, all located here in Westbury. OR, our lawyer will contact you.

Wow, glad I saw this, I have been in touch with these guys, I was looking for a business I could run out of my house. Something to add to the bottom line. Curt, 800) 792-2322, told me I could send in $2500 to get the rights to Rep their coffee, and have access to their pricing and data base, he guaranteed me 200 existing accounts, as well access to many more, more than 1 person could handle, he said. He sent me a sample contract, which I had my lawyer look over. My lawyer said the contract would not allow an out, if this was a bogus BS Franchise... Whew, Thanks Rip-OFF an unhappy camper
