Complaint Review: Best Moving and Transportation

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY -- HERE's WHY: THEY DO NOT HAVE PROPER MOVERS INSURANCE ( $1000 deductible policy -no coverage on damage for lesser amounts and NO coverage on any damage TO or FROM vehicle). They DO NOT HAVE "PROFESSIONAL" MOVERS AS ADVERTISED - crew has basically no experience unless you consider working for them one week experience. ADVERTISE 24' TRUCK, show up an hour late in 18' Truck, very limited packing materials, no wardrobe boxes as they were supposed to, no tools for furniture disassemble, no tie down straps. Totally unprepared and lame.

DO NOT SIGN THEIR CONTRACT - They have u sign 3 places without telling you that one is about Refusing Packing. This, in their mind, frees them of all liability of damage or breakage in anything that THEY do not pack or box == totally ridiculous but typical of disreputable moving companies. We used them for a move in which the mover's dropped and caused an 8" crack to a tabletop. In spite of the mover's agreeing that it was their mistake, and the owner of the company agreeing over the phone to pay the damage, and having this specifically written on the contract and signed by their staff, the company owner, Dimitri, refused to pay for the damage and informed us that we would have to sue him for any hope of paying for their damage.

First time I have ever had a moving company that was so dishonest, unprofessional and disreputable. We will have our day in court but in the meantime will make sure that as the public is well aware of their ineptitude and dishonesty as a company. DO NOT USE BMT MOVERS -- BEST MOVING & TRANSPORTATION INC.
