Complaint Review: Best Of Breed Puppy Ranch

Best of Breed Puppy ranch in Zehhyrhills, Fl was advertising AKC registered Bichon Frise puppies for sale.

We purchased a female puppy for $800.00. We were told that this puppy came from the "Hercules" bloodline and was from several grand champions. We told the Sarah Dee (owner)that we would be interested in breeding the puppy when she came of age. Also that we would be interested in perhaps "showing" the puppy. Sarah agreed that this would be posible. She asked that we include either the name "Hercules" or Best of Breed in the formal name of the puppy when we register her with the AKC.

We took the puppy to our vet and found out that she had an undershot jaw and ill-fitting teeth. The puppy was not of show quality and should not be considered for breeding.

Best of Breeds of contacted. We were told there was nothing wrong with the puppy but we could return her for a refund. After bonding with this puppy for several weeks - how do you return a menber of the "family?"

We asked for $600.00 back since all we got was a house pet and not a show dog. Best of Breed offered a refund of $200.00 and told us she didn't have to do THAT.

We are keeping the puppy taking the $200.00.
