Complaint Review: Best Price Sale

Found this company on Yahoo shopping while searching for the popular and hard to find Canon A70 digital camera. Advertised price was very low so I called to check availability. I spoke with Mark and he told me the camera itself was on backorder but he had a limited quantity of the camera with an accessory kit included for a much higher price. He said the kit included a case, cleaning kit, battery charger w/batteries and a 96 mb memory card.

After much thought and some additional research I called back and placed the order.

To their credit, the order was shipped immediately and arrived in only 2 days. However, when I opened the box I found the camera along with a "dollar store" camera case, a cheap, off brand battery charger, a cleaning kit which is nothing more than a cleaning cloth and some Q-tips, and a 96 mb memory card.

The camera case was damaged so I called back to get a replacement. Mark agreed to send a new one but told me to just keep the one I had because the cost of shipping it back would be more than the cost of the case.
Best Sale Price has taken a page from some new car dealers who advertise a low price and then add on a lot of extra garbage to inflate their profits.

I wouldn't feel so ripped off if the accessories that came with the camera were of decent quality. However, it is clear they went out of their way to find the cheapest, least expensive crap they could find for the accessory kit. I feel I probably overpaid at least $50.00 in this transaction.

One other caveat, if you look at the Yahoo merchant ratings they are all either one star or five star, for an average of three stars. Given these ratings, something definitely smells fishy in Denmark . I would advise anyone to stay away from this company, they are clearly a scam and will probably be out of business very soon.
