I was provided only 1 pg of a 2 pg contract. Pg 2 does not have a signature line. By signing page 1 you're bound to pg 2. Paul of Best Truss stated "we never give our customer page 2"..."We mail page 2 via USPS." The customer never sees pg 2 until after they sign pg 1. Pg 2 has up-charges, extra fees and cancellation costs. Once I signed the contract, that's it! They don't care that you have not seen page 2.

The scope of my job went from 1014 sq ft to 381 sq ft. of new roof. Best Truss refused to adjust the proposal. NOTHING was in production and they are still charging me the initial quote amount of $6840. I only submitted the 381 sq ft drawing and I only received 1 engineering packet. I met with them twice (Paul Abramovici and Jose Menendez) to try and resolve the discrepancy. Pointless! They could care less that they are ripping me off. They tried to bully me and use distraction techniques shifting the focus of the visit to other things. When I would circle them back to the issue of what they are actually producing for my job, they became angry. Jose (the manager) gloated "I have been to court over 25 times and I've won every time." Sad to know that's what he's pround of at Best Truss.

I obtained 2 other quotes for the same job and both around right at $1000. I also reviewed many similar complaints on-line of others being trapped by this same tactic.

We always provide both pages to the customer. In this particular case, she had initially received the first page and the second page came in a separate email. The client had both pages before any work was performed and before she made her initial deposit. She acknowledged both sides of the contract.

The scope of the work was altered to a smaller square footage, but to get to that point, she requested to send an engineer out to the job site, as well as engineering revisions which mounted up to additional engineering work that was not originally quoted in the contract.

Of course, once she had all the engineering work done by us in her possession, it would be easier to get a better price.

The trusses were fabricated on time as per her approval, and we hope to get this matter resolved amicably.

We produce approx. over 500 between homes and additions yearly, it is common to have 1 or 2 disgruntled customers.

Thank You,

MGMT.
