I brought my dog lexi to dr. armstrong in july 2013 She was broken out all over her torso and she had sores inside her ears on the flaps. She had unusual bad breath and her gums were red and irritated he looked at her and said maybe she ingested a bug and that it was allergies. He gave her a allergy shot and sent her home.  The rash would fade and come back and the sores would scab but still bleed. I kept it clean and used  dog ear wash. Her breath did not get better. I thought it was the food so would gradually change her food. Then i would notice here and there she would walk with a limp like she hurt her leg. We thought it was because she slept on it.

Well she had another episode of break outs on her chest and her ears started to bleed again with the sores inside and her gums got really red, sore, bloody and irritated. So i brought her back to Dr. armstrong again to tell him we tried everything changing food and cleaning her mouth with dog care products also her ears. He said again it was allergies and gave her a shot and ointment for her ears. He also sold me dog food science diet and said to try that. this was on august 28, 2013. $67.00 Dollars later my dog was not getting better. On sept 3rd i said i wanted to bring her for a second opionion.

I went online and searched vets and came across (((competitor's name redacted))). I called and they told me to bring her right in. when we got there the vet who looked her over did a thourogh exam tempeture and blood drawing and fecal test. After all the tests he came back and said it is definately not allergies. He said my dog had absolutely no blood plattletts and that it looks like an autoimmune disease. that is why her ears where not clotting and her gums were all irritated. He gave her an antibiotic and steriod. He asked to see her back again in 7 days and that they were going to send the blood out for furthur analasys to see what autoimmune disease it could be.

We are in the process of dealing with (((redacted))) to help my dog get better. I hope that she can be helped and that all the time that was wasted by mis-diagnosing from dr. armstrong is not to late. We called to talk to DR. Armstrong and left over 4 messages he never called us back once. His office kept saying they understand why i was upset and that he will call at the end of his day. It is now 9/5/13 and not one phone call back from him. he was only about the money and even said my dog needed a teeth cleaning for $100.00 dollars and that would help her gum irritation and bleeding sores. He did not once check her blood her tempeture, or examine her like he should have.

Dr. Stuart Armstrong good Doctor and this Website is too difficult.

#2General Comment

this is the second time, writing my rebuttal, since this website is too complex for the average person.

Dr. Stuart Armstrong is a good doctor, not perfect.  As for the person who indicated that he did not give back the ashes, alot of instability is involved when you pet is dying.  I am sure this story is missing a lot of pieces.

As for the fact that sometimes something can be done, but Dr. Armstrong indicates it can't,, not every owner has unlimited funds, to do what  might be necessary.  This can't be generalized like this.

More importantly, Dr. Armstrong has been in practice for years, and there are only a few complaints, due the math.  NObody is loved 100%, I am sure there are people who do not like the writer of the ripoff story.  Case in point.

It is disgusting that someone would try to trash a doctor and affect their professional career, which is their income.  That is not right.

so, to all those that read the ripoff report, I am going to say, I have been bringing my dog to Dr. Armstrong for years, he has always treated me and my dog very well, the medication has been correct and she is very healthy.  I will continue to recommend Dr. Armstrong, whenever possible.

Now for the ripoff website people, I hope this is now in the right place.
