Complaint Review: Best Western Crosstimbers

My wife and I reserved a NONSMOKING room two weeks in advance for Best Western Crosstimbers in Stephenville, TX. We were participating in the annual "Fire Cracker 100" bicycle race for the fourth year in a row. The lady at the desk told us she had one room left, a smoking room in the back, despite my early reservation. She showed us the room, which not only smelled of smoke, but was clouded with marijuana soot, and overrun with bugs. We told her "no thanks" and went to find another motel, hard to do in a town with a big event underway.

The villainous thieves at Best Western have refused to refund my charge and the manager even insulted my wife and I in our pursuit of this claim. I am now engaged in informing the unsuspecting traveling public about this nest of charlatans. I travel the world (returned from visiting a daughter living in Japan) and have contact with many hotels and like establishments. This Best Western is the worst I've encountered in many years and I'll spend the coming years voicing my disgust with them.
