Complaint Review: BestPriceCameras

These people are total Bait and Switch cons. On their website, they offer a really good price for a camera BODY. I ordered the camera body online and didn't receive the expected confirmation email, so I had to call to confirm the order.

I should have known something was a miss when one of the options in their automated answering machine was "if you have ordered something and have not received an email confirmation, please press...." After nagivating their automated answering machine and holding for a long time, I was told that I needed a battery (at a cost of $128) and a chip (at a cost of $149). (Forget that I can buy each of these accessories for AT LEAST 1/2 the cost they quoted, all I needed was the camera body which is why that's all I ordered.)

They offered to sell me a "Kit" which included a battery, chip and lens for only a little more than TWICE the advertised cost of the camera body. When I told them I already had everything I needed and only needed the camera body, they lost interest and said the camera body was "oversold" and I would have to call back in 3 weeks.

It's obvious they will never have this item at this price. Their advertisement is a hook to get you to call so they had use high-pressure tactics to sell you something you don't need.

DON'T FALL FOR IT! STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE.
