Beth Wheeler - Palmetto Bulldog Ripped off Lexington South Carolina
We purchased a male english bulldog puppy from Beth Wheeler (Palmetto Bulldog) on January 24, 2008 for $2600. This dog was guaranteed to be FCI registered with the Hugarian Kennel Club as a Recognized and Registered Pure-Bred dog and that the paperwork would arrive between 90 and 150 days and then would be sent to us by certified mail.
This FCI registration could be transferred into a AKC registration. This would allow the dog to be shown and used for breding stock. To date we have not received anything. We have sent multiple e-mails, certified mail deliveries and attempted to call. Beth did not respond to any of these. Instead of having a registered pure-bred dog, I have nothing making this dog worthless except as a pet. Judging from what I have seen this seems to be what they do best is to rip off customers! I want a refund!

You may also want to visit the wrong puppy dot com to see if she violated any of the laws which deal with importing puppies. Was your puppy under 6 months old?

Imported puppy papers can take a LONG time sometimes. Sometimes 1 or 2 years. Do you have anything regarding the papers or registerability in writing? Is she still in business? I certainly hope that your bulldog isn't 'worthless' to you as just a pet. Papers do not mean not purebred, and they do not guarantee an animal as show or breeding quality. Also, your comments can easily lead a person to believe you should probably not be breeding. If it is something you wish to do, you will need to learn alot more first, about dogs and breeding in general, and bulldogs especially. It takes a VERY long time to become knowledgable about all the many, many, 'genetics' issues which make them what they are, and you will need to be able to judge what is 'beyond normal' for this breed. You should also see them as more than just dollar signs. WRONG reason to breed. PROFIT should never be a breeder's goal, IMO. If you don't get your papers, you can try to bring a small claims case depending on what proof you have, and ask for SOME money back. *just my opinions*
