Complaint Review: Better Built Garages

  After I fired him I have been unable to get in touch with the company. I was told by another customer there were over 100 filings in Surry County NC Courthouse for Fraudulent Business Practices. The phones are now shut off or go straight to voice mail. The owner of the company is Amy and will not answer phone calls. Buyer beware using this company. 

Entered into a contract for concrete and metal building to be constructed on my land. Contract signed on 02 May 2016. After 6 weeks of hearing nothing, I was finally able to get in touch with Milissa, the salesperson. I was told they were very backed up and it would be 8 weeks. I contacted the company at 8 weeks and was given a story that the concrete contractors did not like waiting for their money. Tina told me if I was willing to pay for the concrete contractor at the time of service I could get it done faster. I agreed. The contractor arrived without forms, even requested if I had lumber for the forms, and where to get concrete. The contractor told me to make arrangements for the concrete and then got irritated with the price per yard. I was told and have emails that the price of the concrete work included forms, mesh, and rebar. The contractor said no to even putting fiber in the concrete. I fired him and told him to leave. Since then I cannot get anyone on the phone, Amy's phone goes to voice-mail, the business phones are disconnected, and no one will return calls. Since have learned that the company is facing eviction from their lot on Old Hwy 601. They are facing over 100 filings for Fraudulent Business Practices. Buyer beware of any metal carport place in and around Mt Airy.
