Better Business Bureau is Useless
I submitted a complaint through the Better Business Bureau Online Complaint System (http://www.bbb.org/bbbcomplaints/Welcome.asp) in August. When you click submit, it puts onto the screen a summary of everything you've entered, assigns you a complaint number, and provides you with the name, address, and contact information for the "bureau that will handle your complaint", and suggests that you print this page. I did so, and then waited. And waited and waited.
When I hadn't heard anything after about a month, I sent an email to the email address that had been provided when I submitted the complaint, inquiring how long the procedure usually takes. I never heard anything back from them at all.
Finally, months after submitting the complaint, I phoned the number that had been provided, and was told that they had no idea what I was talking about, they didn't accept online complaints, that they had absolutely nothing to do with anything I was talking about.
I then called the Council of Better Business Bureaus. I was transferred from line to line to line, before finally ending up with someone's voice mail.
I am not holding my breath to hear anything back from them.
