If you read on you will see he doesn't like the idea of making it onto the RipOffReport.

Secondary Complaint Classification: Contract Disputes
Complaint:
I am sending this complaint regarding Alyon Technologies,P. O. Box 92399, Norcross, Ga 30010-3299, (800) 379-0239 an Adult Web site located in Norcross, Georgia. I received a bill from this web site for access to adult material according to the bill. No adult in this home approved or participated in this.I called the company to dispute the charges and was told I need to put better parental controls on my computer. The fact that this material is made available without a credit card leads me to believe this company is specifically targeting minors.

Allowing someone using the internet to enter this website without a Credit Card and Proper Identification should be unacceptable business practice in your community. I would appreciate hearing from you. A Certified Letter has been sent to Alyon Technologies of Norcross,GA. A representative of the company tried to reinforce the validity of this type of service. There is nothing valid about the service they provide.

I have every intention of contacting every resource at my disposal to shut their operation down. I also believe this company may be participating in using a file which opens an Internet Virus or Trojan Horse with their software into any computer that it is opened into.
Desired Settlement: Other (requires explanation)
Settlement Explanation:
Cancel the charge against my phone number for the amount of $161.37 and block any future access to your services. I also hope that local, state and federal law enforcement take necessary steps to hold this company accountable for allowing adult content material to be viewed by minors by using a NoCredit access to their website.

Dear BBB of Atlanta:

I sent you a complaint regarding Alyon Technologies of Norcross, Georgia. That complaint was in regards to a bill from that company for alleged use of their pornographic web site. I have not received a response back from Alyon. I see that according to your records you have received at least six (6) complaints on this company in the past 12 months. What is the status of my complaint?
This complaint was also filed with several government agencies. It would make your community look a lot better if you could help to shut down these type of operations. Thank you for any response you can give to me.

Dear Mr. Smith,

Thank you for your response. Now please go after Alyon Technologies and get my charges removed. They should be a 'thorn in your side' anyway. Adult pornographic material being made available to minors? Please go to http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2002/11/integretel.htm to see how my complaint is almost word for word , the same complaint.

Regards, Greg

Mr. Smith,

I see the number of complaints your Better Business Bureau has jumped from 6 to 38 in just a week.

But, have you done anything for me about this company?

They want me to verify minors living in my home and then only intend on removing one minute's worth of time from the bill they say accrued on my phone number.

You aren't leaving me much choice but to complain about you as well.

If I don't get some positive information from you in the next day or so I'll have to recommend your BBB to the RipOffReport.

Would you be dragging your feet if this had happened to you and your family?

Best Regards,

Greg

Mr. PRIVATE CITIZEN: First and foremost, let me say that we will strive to assist you in resolving your grievance with Alyon Technologies. Our process is voluntary and informal, but overall we have an 85% success rate in resolving complaints. Secondly, is the information you found on the ripoffreport web site correct, not entirely.

There are certain types of disputes that we dont handle, because we are not a legal agency, nor a governmental agency and cannot handle certain types of disputes. Rest assured, that there are plenty more that we do handle. I dont know who these people are that have provided this information online, nor do I know the particular circumstances of their cases. They may feel that we didnt help them in accordance with their expectations; however, we never represent that we can solve each and every problem. Sometimes, the complainant is unjustified or unreasonable and will never be satisfied no matter what is done.

The BBB is an organization founded in 1912. The Atlanta BBB has been in existence since 1937. IF the charges levied against us in the ripoffreport were true, do you believe that we could have survived for as long as we have? Remember, that anyone can say anything they want online with very little consequence, and its difficult to know the source of those comments or why they were said to begin with and our response is that we strive to do the very best we can to help consumers and businesses.

Thank you,

Dean E. Smith

We are endeavoring to work with this company to assist in
resolving your complaint. The delay is not necessarily on
our part and at this time is with the company. We are
continuing to pursue your complaint with the company and
will notify you as soon as we have a response from the
company to your complaint. Before you say anything
negative about us, remember that our assistance is costing
you absolutely nothing and we are working diligently to try and help you. If you wish to report us to the "rip-off report", that's your option, but be sure to be objective and completely factual. Threatening us with that will not speed up this company responding to your complaint.

The BBB of Atlanta Georgia may "Endeavor to Persevere" but Dean E. Smith needs to take these complaints seriously. I don't know why the BBB of Atlanta has stayed in business so long. You sure haven't done a thing for me in nearly two months. You are standing on the fact this company is not responding. That reason just is not good enough. Have you used all the resources at your disposal to make contact with Alyon Technologies?

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, its paid for!
