Complaint Review: Better Business Bureau - Nob Hil Hotel

Better Business Bureau took over a year to close the complaint on Nob Hil Hotel and NOTHING was done to remedy the situation. Rip-off! Oakland California

Do not rely on the Better Business Bureau for information about a company. Do not rely on the BBB for help in getting a complaint resolved. They do NOTHING. Case and point: The Nob Hill Hotel in Oakland, California. The place is so hot you could grow banannas in the rooms. The front desk rep was rude and discourteous. She barked at guests and provided no customer service whatsover.

The hotel proudly displays their BBB logo; so I reported them. An entire year went by and nothing was remedied. I remained persistant and fianlly went to the president of the BBB. He ignored my certified letter. I made phone calls to him every week.

Just this month, August (the origianl report was filed June/2003) he did call me back, but with a very unprofessional comment, which included, and I quote, "...you may want to just get on with your life." Well, Mr. Patrick Wallace, president of the Oakland BBB, if the BBB would have responded to me in the first place and proceeded with the complaint process, I wouldn't have had to phone, email, fax, write certified letters, etc. in the amount that I did.

In the year that went by, I was never told that the case was closed. Based on the inadequate response of Mr. Wallace, the case is finally closed. Please note that the Nob Hill Hotel, even though they have numerous complaints, still has a satisfactory rating with the BBB. What a joke.
