In April 2020 I submitted a complaint through the BBB website (https://www.bbb.org/consumer-complaints/file-a-complaint/get-started). In lieu of Small Claims Court I was seeking mediation regarding a contract dispute I'm (as of November 2020) having with an obstinate, unprofessional drywall company in Portland, OR.
I was clearly complaining about a specific drywall company (subcontractor for a General Contractor in my town) but a BBB representative recorded my complaint against a fake company with similar spelling (similar as the General Contractor) in a different city. I informed 4 different people at the local BBB and international BBB of the deception, but the BBB failed to acknowledge the deceipt or correct the record.
On 18 June, 2020 the BBB informed me that it was "unable to pursue the matter further, we have closed your case as unresolved. Your complaint will remain on the business's record for three years and will be reflected in their Business Review." There is no such business CURRENTLY (and never with business license of my General Contractor).
Therefore there is no record of a legitimate complaint against drywall company of Portland, OR.
