BEWARE OF OFFICIAL PEST PREVENTION ELK GROVE CA no customer service, lies
A salesperson knocked on my door, very nice and verbally offering me a very good deal on fumigation towards pests in my home. He told me that if I paid him $49 dollars, they would come and service my house overall once, and after that they would come on a quarterly basis to fumigate my house overall. And if we had any problems they would come back no matter how many times at no extra cost. He never mentioned to me that there was going to be a fee for every time they came and he made it clear that it was going to be $49 dollars and that was it, thats why they were going door to door promoting this "special" promotion.
When I asked him for my reciept for my $49 dollar payment that I payed upfront cash, then he showed me a paper and said "sure just sign this here for you reciept". Well I understand my mistake of not reading what I signed, trusting this fellow on his words. What I found out was that what he made me sign was a one year contract, when he asked us if we spoke Spanish, he spoke to us in Spanish, so maybe he thought that we couldnt read English, and just told us to sign....us making the mistake of not reading it! And now that we found out that it was a year contract, we were willing to pay for our mistake of not reading what we sign.
But worst of all, there customer service is terrible and rude! They schedule appointments with out confirming with me, and they just show up and leave the bill on the door. Doing only the front part of my house. After I tried to call and complain and asking for a grievience department, they always tell me that someone is going to call me back, when I ask for number to call and complain, they refuse to give me one and then when they call 2 weeks later, they harass me telling me that I must pay the full amout and if I dont have an available day that I can be home to let them in and fumigate my house overall they dont care, and they dont care if they dont do the full service I still must pay the full amout.
What is more upsetting to me is how rude they are, they dont even try to help you, even one of the representatives hung up on me and left me talking, because I told them I was not going to pay the full amout that i would pay half because they were only rendering half of the service, she yelled at me that they were going to send me to collections and hung up. They didnt even bother to call and leave a message of when they were going to show up, that last two times they came. I dont call them anymore because no one will work with me. Dont do any business with OFFICIAL PEST PREVENTION! They are unfair!! HELP!! What should I do!?

While the previous person who did rebuttal may have some points these contracts are very deceptive...you do literally need a magnifying glass to read the entire back with the small print. I'm sure if you have a disagreement or concern Jamie will treat you in the same manner. he does not have respect for his employees nor his customers, as he has stated in the office to his older brother Jeff customers and employees are disposable and replacable.
they are in it to make money...
while the orignal owner Jeff and Jamies eldest brother was for customer service wich was the time you have opened your account, the new owners of which you probably have had no contact with are a totally different story. read my report and you would get the entire story.
they will treat you like crap and disrepect you like they did the one who filed this report, if you give them a call with any complaint.
i would assume you out of contract after all they are only one year but if you call to cancel they will assume you still have a contract..
and treat as they did him. secoondly if you need to cancel there is a clause on the back of the contracts that states you may cancel inwrittingto their office in elk grove, within three business days of your signing. please remeber this if you are a fairly new customer...

I know that this is an old complaint, but I know this company and have been a faithful customer for about nine years. They come out bi-monthly and re treat when ever necessary. They have treated my house for ants, fleas, rats, and other various bugs that I could not identify. They have never charged me for re treating. They have always been courteous and helpful. They come out quickly when I call. The chemicals they use do not smell for days and do not make my animals sick. They are a trustworthy company.
The fact that people don't read their contract is no excuse. If you do not read what you sign, you suffer the consequences. If someone comes to your door it is always good to get identification and confirm where they are from, confirm what you are agreeing to. Ask questions. If they are rude to you, it may be because you are accusing them of something that you brought upon yourself.
