Complaint Review: Acai Diet

Yesterday a website pulled up on my computer while I wasn't on it. I originally thought my husband had opened it because it was a testimonial of a woman who had lost a lot of weight and I am also dieting so I thought he wanted me to read it. After reading through it, I decided to order some because they were offering it for free (with a $5 shipping charge). I filled out the online order form ****but did not submit it.**** Fortunately, my husband came home during this time and I told him I was getting ready to order some & asked him if he opened the webpage for me to read. He said "no" and so immediately I was suspicious. I backed out all the numbers of my credit card I had just entered, expiration, phone number, etc and X'd out of the website to close Internet Explorer all together.

The very next morning, I started to receive phone calls with caller id and calls immediately following those without called id. I received calls almost every 5-15 minutes from morning until mid-afternoon (with an hour breakwhich I am assuming was the telemarketers lunch break). My husband answered one call, but the caller hung up. The calls kept coming. My husband answered a call (without caller id) in late afternoon and spoke to a lady from www.acaidiettoday.com, the website I ***almost*** ordered from yesterday. How did they get my phone number if I X'd out of their website and did not submit my info with my credit card & phone number? The calls were relentless, and when my husband DID get someone to speak to us, he told them we were on the National Do Not Call List and asked to speak to a Supervisor. As soon as one came on the phone and my husband proceeded to tell them that we are on the National Do Not Call List and there is an $11K fine for the first offensethey hung up. I haven't received a call since...and it has been almost an hour.

We are now concerned about identity theft now that they have our credit card info as well (with the security numbers). I did not submit my info (by clicking the submit button), in fact I tried to close the website AND Internet Explorer and another box popped up that said something to the affect of are you sure you want to exit this website. About 10 of the calls didn't have Caller ID (but it was them because the call my husband answered was a No Caller ID call). A few of the calls actually had phone numbers, so I've included them below so that you can see the numbers they used to call us.

My cell phone number has been on the National Do Not Call List since 2008 (right before they released the cell phone numbers). Actually it was on the NDNC list way before 2008, but once we heard that they were releasing the cell phone list in 2008, we re-entered our numbers again.
