Bid4Prizes.com unauthorized charge on cell phone bill Nationwide
A few days ago (on Aug 8th, 2007) I received a text message from "bid4prizes.com" saying:
"URGENT- UR BidrPrizes renewal is complete. Go2 Bid4Prizes.com NOW & bid on a 2008 BMW. Enter to win $1M. New prizes everyday! Reply HELP 4 help, info @ Bid4Prizes.com".
I was confused, as I had NEVER heard of bid4prizes.com before, and had never been a customer, so the "renewal" part made no sense when I hadn't renewed anything. I also I thought it was just sent to the wrong ph. number, so I ignored it. Then, I just saw my cell phone bill, and was shocked (and angered!) at the $9.99 UNAUTHORIZED charge I received from them, for something I NEVER agreed to, heard of, or ordered!
This is very upsetting to me that charges can be made against my knowledge for something I never signed up for. They responded to my email to them with a LONG list of things I must do for them to refund the charges (fax my cell phone bill, the original email, etc...), but I really don't want them having more information about me and my family.
